MineFun Raid Mode Guide: How to Survive, Loot, and Win Every Raid

Raid is MineFun.io's brutal survival mode: a 1500x1500 battlefield, a Glock, and a map full of players who want your loot. Zones, airdrops, weapons, bases, and the day someone types "friendly" before shooting you in the back.

Airdrops every five minutes. Free cubecoins every five minutes of survival. World resets every three days. Those three timers run the mode — everything else is playing them well.

I track my raid runs in the same spreadsheet as my Bed Wars weapon math because the shape is identical: money in, gear out, survive long enough to compound the loop. In Raid the money is time, and time only stops when a stranger types "friendly" behind your back.

What follows is the mode broken down the way I actually play it. Timers first, terrain second, shopping third, people last.

What Raid actually is

Raid is a free-for-all survival gamemode. Every player spawns at a random location on a randomly generated 1500x1500 terrain. Your goal is simple to state and hard to do: stay alive, gear up, and outlast everyone else.

Raid Mode Core Facts

  • Map size: 1500 x 1500 blocks, randomly generated terrain
  • Starting gear: A Glock pistol and one Ammo Storage pack
  • World cycle: Each world lasts only 3 in-game days, then fully resets
  • World edge: There is no border wall - walk too far and you fall into the void
  • Progression: Loot, craft, build a base, and survive fights until the reset

Because the world resets every 3 days, Raid rewards fast, decisive play. There's no point hoarding resources for "later" - later doesn't exist. Every session is a race to gear up before the lobby does.

Watch the Edge

The 1500x1500 terrain simply cuts off at the limit. There is no invisible wall and no warning - one careless sprint while fighting near the edge and you'll fall into the void and lose everything. Always check your surroundings before backing up in a fight.

Reading the zone map

The single most important tool in Raid is the world map. Press M (or tap the map icon on mobile) to open it. The map divides the world into a 5x5 grid of 25 zones, labeled A1 through E5.

What the Map Shows You

  • All 25 zones (A1-E5): Use these coordinates to call out locations - "airdrop at C3" is instantly understood by allies
  • Your position: Your exact location on the grid, updated live
  • Latest airdrop: Marked with a yellow outlined box icon
  • Player heat: Zones tinted red contain players - the deeper the red, the more players are in that zone

Pro Tip: Play the Heat Map

The red zone tint is live intelligence. Early game, avoid deep-red zones entirely - that's where the fighting is. Late game, the opposite applies: if you're well-geared, rotate toward red zones to hunt. And if your own zone turns deep red, it's time to move, not hide.

Spawning Strategy

Since spawns are random, your first 60 seconds set the tone for the whole run:

  1. Open the map immediately. Note your zone and the nearest zone borders.
  2. Check for red zones around you. If a neighboring zone is red, expect company within minutes.
  3. Start gathering basic resources - wood and stone for a starter shelter - while moving toward the map center. Edge zones are dangerous because of the void.
  4. Save your Glock ammo. The starter Ammo Storage doesn't last. Don't waste it on fights you can avoid.

Weapons and the cubecoin economy

Your Glock is a starter, not a solution. Real firepower comes from two places: the Shop and airdrops.

Earning Cubecoins

The Shop (press B or tap the shop icon) sells weapons, ammo, and food for cubecoins. You earn them passively:

  • +10 cubecoins for every 5 minutes you survive in the mode
  • Exchange: 10 minebucks converts to 100 cubecoins

Survival time is money. A player who stays alive 50 minutes earns 100 free cubecoins - enough for a solid mid-tier weapon without spending a single minebuck.

Free Starter Kits

Don't spend coins on your first gun. The Starter Kit section of the shop gives you an MP5, SPAS-12, UMP, or SIG plus 2 Ammo Storage packs just for watching an ad. That's a free loadout worth 40-65 cubecoins. Grab a kit first, then save your earned coins for a top-tier weapon like the AWM or FN-FAL.

Airdrops are the whole game

Every 5 minutes, an airdrop descends on a random location. You'll see the "📦 An airdrop is descending!" notification, followed by "📦 An airdrop has landed!" with coordinates in chat. The drop point also appears on your map as a yellow box.

Chest Tiers and Loot

Each airdrop contains a Copper, Gold, or Diamond chest at its center. The better the chest, the better the gear:

ChestNotable Loot
Copper ChestIron Sword, Iron Helmet, Iron Leggings, Dynamite, Fried Chicken, arrows, building planks
Gold ChestGold Sword, Gold Pickaxe, Gold Leggings, Fireball, Snowball, Diamonds, glass blocks
Diamond ChestThe rarest drops in the mode - top-tier gear worth fighting for
All chests1-2 Ammo Storage packs, chance at a Diamond Bow

Airdrop Strategy

  1. Move at "descending", not "landed". The moment the descent notification appears, start rotating toward the coordinates. Arriving as it lands beats arriving after.
  2. Expect company. Everyone sees the same notification. Approach from cover, scan before looting, and listen for footsteps.
  3. Loot fast, leave faster. Grab the chest contents and relocate immediately. Lingering at a drop site is the #1 way geared players die.
  4. Third-party the fight. If two players are already fighting over the drop, hang back and let them damage each other - then clean up the winner while they're weak.

Pro Tip: Dynamite Changes Everything

Dynamite from Copper chests is the great equalizer. It cracks open enemy bases and deletes campers. Always carry at least one stick once you've looted a few airdrops - it's the difference between "can't touch that base" and "that base is now yours."

Base building that survives

Loot alone won't carry you through 3 days. You need a base - somewhere to stash gear, heal up, and fight from a position of strength.

Where to Build

  • Near the map center, not on it: Central zones mean shorter rotations to every airdrop, but the exact center draws crowds. Build one or two zones off-center.
  • Far from the void edge: Edge bases are one bad knockback away from disaster.
  • Use terrain: Hills and forests give natural cover. A base visible from 3 zones away is a base that gets raided.

What to Build

Start simple: four walls, a roof, and a single entrance you can watch. Upgrade over time with stronger materials from airdrops. Your base should have:

  1. A loot room for spare weapons and ammo
  2. A firing position - a window or balcony with sightlines on approaches
  3. An escape route - a back door or a second exit, because base fights rarely go as planned

Allies, betrayal, and everyone I don't trust anymore

I've been betrayed at exactly the moment a Diamond chest cracked open more times than I want to admit. The lesson stuck. Trust is a cubecoin you don't spend twice.

Raid's official description warns you: "Fight alongside allies - but remember, betrayal can happen at any moment." Teaming up multiplies your firepower for airdrop fights and base defense, but allies see everything you own - and some will decide your loot is worth more than your friendship.

Alliance Rules That Keep You Alive

  • Ally early, commit late: Temporary truces for a single airdrop fight are low-risk. Sharing a base on day one is not.
  • Never show your full stash: Keep your best weapon holstered and your spare loot in a hidden spot allies don't know about.
  • Watch for the tell: An ally who stops responding, follows you too closely, or positions behind you during a loot moment is about to betray you. Create distance first.
  • Betray first only when it matters: If you're going to turn, do it when the payoff is decisive - a Diamond chest, a stacked base - and never when witnesses are around.

Ten rules for surviving three days

  1. Open the map every minute. Zone heat and airdrop positions are free wallhacks - use them.
  2. Never fight with low ammo. A Cartridges pack costs 10 coins. Being ammo-dry in a fight is a death sentence.
  3. Grab a free Starter Kit before spending any cubecoins.
  4. Rotate toward airdrops at "descending", loot at "landed", leave immediately.
  5. Build off-center. Short rotations, less traffic.
  6. Respect the void. No edge fights, ever.
  7. Carry Dynamite once you're looting Gold chests - bases stop being safe.
  8. Chicken is cheap insurance. Buy 3-4 every shop visit.
  9. Avoid deep-red zones early, hunt them late.
  10. Trust slowly. The player who says "friendly" is often the one reloading behind you.

The short version

Information beats aim in this mode. Zone map, airdrop timer, shop economy — play those three timers and the lobby dies for you, not the other way around.
